Anyone else afraid to try new things and go to a new small restaurant?
Many people there, you're alone picking up an order. I never go outside..

A coffee shop opened near my house where there used to be an appliance store. I'd like to go but their curbside sign is ghetto as fuck and the name of the place spells cafe "caffe"

You have social anxiety, which sucks but it can be helped. I recommend seeking help. There's no shame in it, and you can greatly increase your quality of life. I got counseling when my depression got really bad, and it didn't fix everything but it sure as hell made things better. If seeing a counselor is too big of a step or not feasible for you right now, I'd look into internet resources like forums. You can get better anon, good luck.
If it doesn't have a steady stream of customers within 2 weeks of opening yeah, I'm definitely pretty afraid. I go to a lot of openings because I am a reprehensible "foodie" that you people would probably consider "punchable" and yeah, first week, empty is ok. Two weeks though, if it's still empty, go fuck yourself. I am done supporting "mom and pop indie struggling local joints", there's a place down the block like that, they've got their regular pity customers but the food is always fucked up tasting and I hate the desperate overly friendly way the owner/waitress/chef always acts when I come in, like she's so glad to see me and hopefully keep the dream alive for another month before the Marshall Service puts a lock on the front door and a no trespassing sign.

I wasn't always this way
Moved half way across the country for work, don't know anybody just me and worried about going out alone everyday...
