Anyone else can't stop buying the cheap, off-brand and store-brand stuff?
I mean, it's not like I need to save my money that much, but I just enjoy it too much. As well as doing shit like saving the grease from a morning bacon sandwich to cook my meat in later that night.

I prefer Essential Everyday to most non generics.

There's something appealing to it that I can't place my fingers on. The past 4 months I've been using Aldis "Norpak" instead of "Lurpak" butter and I'm loving it.
>tfw american grocery stores don't have hot steak and pepper pasties
I miss sainsburys

Literally never tried one before, but live around the corner from one.
The pre-made supermarket pasties always seemed weird for me.

Most times the store brand is equal in quality to name brands, but sometimes it is better.
People who throw away rendered bacon fat are morons.

Do american bars have cider yet
>>9052972
Literally every bar does, but that's a woman's drink.
>>9052989
but if women are drinking the cider then who is drinking the wine

I've never read a stupider article
>>9052972
Yup. Well they usually only have two at a time though.
Eh progress.

People only think that because of how sweet it is, you can't really find any dry cider. It's the same thing with mead, people hear that it's made from apple or honey so they think it has to be sweet.

>you can't really find any dry cider
how horrifying

I wouldn't say you *can't* find dry cider, but you're right that the overly sweet stuff is far more common. I've only ever had luck finding the dry stuff via special-order, or by going to unusually large liquor stores that have a very large inventory. But that said, it IS available, just a lot more rare than the sweet stuff.
