What is the best way to fry peanuts?
I was going to buy raw peanuts and then soak them overnight in some salted water, but my friend pointed out to me that after soaking and rinsing, the oil would probably spit like mad when I put them in to shallow fry.
I've googled peanut frying but pretty much every article about "frying" peanuts is just about making some satay dish or adding a handful of them into a rice dish.

Have you tried them fried?
I've heard frying them makes them taste pretty good. Frying is also super easy.
Roasting is out of the question for me because of oven problems.

Does frying them soften them up at all?
