I finally got a jar of this "acquired taste", and I liked it immediately. It's not offensive at all. Seafood and truffles are offensive, but not this. What's going on with the haters?

Shill more for your degenerate taste buds, dingofucker.

They're retarded. Also if anyone ever tries to tell you that Vegemite is better you should immediately kick them in the face.
As an American, for me, Marmite wasn't bad, but I didn't particularly like it either. Was a very neutral food for me. I got about 1/3 through a jar over like 6 months, then let it sit in my fridge for several years. Ended up cleaning the jar and using it to store weed. I just don't eat toast enough to buy another jar, and I prefer marmalade or raspberry jam on toast anyway.

That's not the only way to eat marmite. I don't even own a toaster but that doesn't stop me going through a couple jars of peanut butter a week. I pour off the separated oil and people ask me how I spread it. I don't.
Burger here
I recently tried vegemite for the first time
Not bad, but it literally tastes and smells just like miso paste

I guess flyovers don't like it because they've never had miso?

But Vegemite IS better.

>*attempts to kick you in the face but kicks you in the throat instead and collapses your larynx*
>*laughs menacingly as you thrash around on the floor and asphyxiate*
Pssh. He won't be bad-mouthing anyone, or anything, for that matter, anymore. *spits*

So are vegemite and marmite different things or different brands of the same thing? Like coke vs pepsi or coke vs dr pepper?
>>9037379
There is no greater hangover cure than Marmite
>>9038925
A little different, vegemite is saltier but marmite is stronger. Marmite is runnier like a thick treacle but vegemite does not drip.

There's no accounting for 'muricans, anon.
It's an invaluable ingredient in stews and casseroles and anything else that needs a healthy addition of glutamates
