craving raw fish, what should i make tomorrow?
i think tomorrow im going to go to the local asian market and buy a fish. i think i want to make sushi. memes aside i think it could be fun to learn. is store bought fish fresh enough to eat raw? like if its a whole fish from the deli at the grocery store. should i make something else? i dont know many dishes of raw fish besides sushi stuff

You need to ask for sushi grade. Most fish sold in the US isn't. Depending on where you are, sushi fish may have been flash frozen to kill parasites.

okay thank you i just checked online and it looks like this market has sushi grade at the fish deli. i fyou didnt tell me i wouldve probably made myself sick with regular non-fresh stuff. thanks

You could try ceviche or poke. I don't know whether you need sushi grade fish or not though.

Poke can handle slightly lower quality/greater age, but you still want more than the common supermarket fish.
