You'd need a pretty fucking serious hood for that. The vast majority of the hoods I've seen would be wholly inadequate. But sure, if you had a commercial-quality hood in your house then why not?

Or, you could use Japanese binchotan charcoal; that produces nearly zero smoke. It's expensive as fuck though.
