Instead of dough, why don't we use potatoes as the base for pizza?
Hot potato cakes sprinkled with cheese and a tomato dip on the side would be legendary. Gonna try it tomorrow.
I've seen recipes that use cauliflower as a healthy alternative to a dough pizza base, never tried it but it sounds interesting.

probably because of rigidity issues
I've had pizza with a mashed potato instead of tomato sauce base though and it was surprisingly good

Also you could just eat gnocchi if you want that potatoey taste
Or some kind of glutinous rice dough

You can make a pizza casserole with it. As for a dough it wouldn't be any healthier and would be more work for an inferior product.

Cauliflower bases require very intense tasting ingredients to cover the vegetables taste. By the time you add the cheese and egg it's just a couple hundred less calories for an entire pizza. Would only recommend if you really like the taste of cauliflower.
