is $60 (autralian) per person enough for an evening at a fancy seafood place?
Without drinks it shouldn't be an issue, honestly depends how fancy though. I've done $150 per person seafood in Sydney, but it wouldn't have been hard to get decent seafood for half that in the same area.

Yes.
I just get the flathead or whiting and chips.
It's like $26

>$150 per person seafood
wew! I hope i never make the mistake of walking into a restaurant that fancy. WHAT WAS IT? Lobsters the size of small children?!?!?

i don't drink alcohol
but these people i'm hosting do. How much booze, price wise, will they drink?!?!?!
>>9010956
No, it was an 8 course tasting menu.

At a nice restaurant you can be looking at $15+ drinks. This can really depend where you are and what you order though.

ooooh that does sound fun

sweet jimmy crickets!!!!?!?!
is Argentine cheaper then seafood???
i said i'd take them out to a "fancy meal"
i didn't promise seafood.

Depends on location, if you're in a harbour city it might be cheaper to get seafood.
Honestly if you want to limit drinks order a moderately priced bottle or two of wine for the table. Most guests can take the hint that they should drink the wine instead of ordering something for just themselves.

would 50 dollars be enough for a bottle?
>>9010938
Just look at the menu dude.
Probably not if it's fancy and people are drinking.

Depends on where you go. I would probably expect $40-50 to be the minimum if it's a nicer place though.
Here is a random higher end seafood menu. Looks like $30-50 per person for food. More expensive for specialty dishes.

Have a toasty sleep.

Where were you planning to eat? Sydney? Specific location?

This tilts me
Not that people pay that much for food, but that the manager laughs his ass off because he sold you $20 worth of food for 7x the price just because he made it look fancy
Stop being a stingey cunt OP and shell out some more neetbux. I hope your over east, because in WA you should prepare, for a fancy restaurant, $20 starters, $40-$50 mains, $15 desserts, $12+ stubbies and $60+ for a nice red
