what kind of stuff could I mix into it while I cook it on the stove to satisfy my cravings?
Red pepper flakes is the only thing I could think of that may add some spicy to chicken and dumplings without ruining the original flavor. If you add sliced/chopped peppers it will change the entire flavor, same with hot sauces. Red pepper flakes just add a little heat basically.
