Why is garlic so perfect? It's delicious, smells great, is very healthy for you, a natural antibiotic, full of antioxidants, and also pairs well with just about any meat, cheese, grain or veggie you can think of. Truly a gift from the gods.

I agree.
>tfw you burn your garlic
Plus it kills vampires. Can't lose.
Every time someone says they put enough garlic in something, there usually needs to be at least double that amount

Almost thought about growing my own garlic this summer. Anyone have any tips?

You can never have enough garlic. Anyone who says otherwise is a pussy or a vampire

I have a 100% certified 72 year old Mexican neighbor. I asked them for tips on garlic as they grew it last year. You plant in mounds of dirt about a half a foot tall in the fall. They grow in the following summer.
I live in southern michigan. Havent tested myself in these plots, but will this year. These neighbors have never failed me, even once. A true fount of knowledge.
Sideinfo, middle plot has been absorbed by oregano, front plot onions.

Nothing makes me nostalgic for my mom's home cooking like the smell of garlic being sautéd in butter.
Is crushed garlic in a jar inherently bad? It taste far more mild, so I use huge amounts to get the same taste. Does it have the same properties as fresh garlic?
