Anyone here ferment their own foods?
If so what do you like to ferment?
I ferment semen
I pickle garlic.
It makes my breathe smell horrendous though.
I've started making yoghurt and sauerkraut, and recently branched out into trying to make hot sauces (still a little paranoid that I fucked up the first batch, didn't seem very acidic and kept getting growths of kahm yeast).

Yep!
I make kimchi, pickled onions, peppers for hot sauce...
I made some fermented beet juice
doesn't taste very good but I put it in smoothies or just chug a little in the morning

Why, some sort of health benefit to fermented beet juice?

Probably idk, been experimenting with kvass and saw beet kvass online so decided to make it.

I mean, it says there's benefits on the mom science blog I got the idea from but I don't consider that a good source. I like beets and I've been experimenting with fermenting so why not.

Strange it wouldn't taste very good since vinegar brined beet pickles are excellent. Maybe try fermenting sliced beets next time? I can't help but think that would be good.

I don't ferment food because I am not an impoverished shitskin or a feminized white guilt liberal who wants to be one
>>8978480
>being able to achieve self sufficiency and preserve food is being feminized
get the fuck back to the_donald you fucking retarded newfag, you're not fitting in
>>8978480
>he doesn't appreciate the complex flavors of long fermented foods
>>8978480
that is one of the most retarded replies I have read all week.
Kimchi, pickles, and pickled whatever-I'm-in-the-mood-for.
I've been making kombucha lately. Just put my first batch in bottles with some blueberries and a little sugar. I like the taste, but man if that shit doesn't look and smell disgusting.
Who the hell though drinking the tea with jellyfish-like mold on top was a great idea to begin with?
