i work at a grocery store and pesto isn't selling where i live. one thing that works very well is shit we bother to make ourselves like sandwiches, submarines, spaghetti, pizza, lazagna, potato salad. what do you think we could try to do with it that they would buy? i think i will put some on a pizza: people are like seagulls when it comes at pizza so it shouldn't be a problem. neat ideas pls

Pesto is amazing in coke.

My go to with pesto is to serve it with mushrooms, onions, and sopressatta or pepperoni on a pizza. Or mushrooms and pesto on pasta, especially pappardelle.
Its also good as a shmear on sandwiches with chicken or turkey and provolone.

Introduce it as the quickest and easiest pasta side dish. Any pasta the customer likes with a dollop of pesto stirred in right after draining. Also, a topping for sandwiches, breads, and a replacement for tomato sauce on pizza. Good stuff.

I always find it kind of sad when I see a section of obscure food items which obviously never get sold, and are on multiple clearance sales.

That is pretty sad :(
You see so many brands all for the same thing, or dont feel like trying something new, so you just stick with familiar things...
