Actually it's more than 35% more expensive at least for me.

A double-patty cheeseburger with the works, a large fry, and a soda at wendy's is $9.50 for me.

The same meal at Five Guys (except their "small fry" is as much fries as a large at any other chain, so using that) is $15.40

So Five Guys is actually about 60% more expensive and that's WITHOUT accidentally ordering their "large fry". Honestly FG fry sizes are more like Large, XL, and XXL than S/M/L but I digress.

Also a frosty is like $2 while a Five Guys shake is $5 after tax.

Five Guys is literally more expensive than the typical ethnic take-out around town.

wendy's is the best low tier burger fast food but for the slight level up burger place I do 5G. what makes it better for me is I take awhile to eat there which makes it all the better. wendy's doesn't do it for me anymore

I prefer backyard burger myself for their turkey burger or blackjack burger. But the spicy chicken at wendys is always a solid choice

As a finn who visited the US and tried both of these, i'd say five guys is superior in my taste.

Mostly because the massive amounts of salty fries and homemade burgs.

Wendy's is like Burger King.
Good for fast food, but still cheap taste.

Five guys is like gourmet fast food.

CAN I GET A DAVE'S HOT AND JUICY COMBO PLEASE

Wendys doesn't taste like real food anymore.

The closest fast food to me is Wendy's so I'm sick of it. But Five Guys doesn't have a drive thru. Wendy's has more variety.

Wendy's really wins in every category besides burger taste and me being so close to it.

It's fuckin amazing though. Those cajun fries. Plus the soda machine in 5 Guys is the one with like hundreds of options.

Wendy's and Five Guys both need to step up the sauce game. Burgers are very versatile and delicious sauces amplify the sandwich many times.
