Does anyone else use a mask for cooking with certain ingredients?
Particularly cutting up onions, stir frying super hot peppers/powder/sauce, grating horseradish and cooking with it, etc
i wore safety glasses a few times while chopping onions

Did that help resolve the issue? I'm guessing the molecules released when cutting are so incredibly light they actually end up making contact with eyes, even though the mask did help mitigate the effects ever so slightly
No one cared who I was until I put on the mask.

A few years ago, I found a welding mask and was slicing onions on the slices using said mask. My chef at the time came by and just stated at me for a fee minutes while I stated him down in silence. Wildeweststaredown.webm

I have some pretty unresponsive tear ducts and sinuses so I can chop and fry to my hearts content with little to no discomfort most times. The only time I have actually bothered to put on a respirator and goggles was when working with chipotle chilies in adobo that comes in a can. Theres a bunch on recipes I like with that in it. But good god damn that shit is caustic as fuck. I've gotten a whiff of CS gas at a protest and I can say with out a doubt that stuff has at least a little in common with canned chilies in adobo. Maybe it's just me.
