What are some food combinations that every cook should be aware of? Just discovered Ham + Pea + Mint - good as risotto, pasta or a salad. The salad I had included couscous, mustard mayo and boiled egg as well.

First I've heard of this one. I find it hard to go past lamb and rosemary.

Might have to look at using anchovies next time I do lamb.

I've actually got a leg in the fridge now which I was planning to roast next cold weekend, though I think it's sunny and mild this weekend.

make incisions in the meat and put half a peeled clove of garlic, an anchovy and some rosemary or bay in there

Try lamb and pistachio. Keep some rosemary or juniper in there to have some piney flavor, too.
