What cookbook does /ck/ use? All the recipes online are full of ads/fake user reviews and overcomplicated ingredient lists to appear fancy. I to pay somone some money to get a simple comprehensive cook book.

I just finished The Food Lab by J. Kenji Lopez-Alt. Really great book for designed for beginners and fun to read too. Though all the information in is book is available for free via his blog, the book is still worth a buy.
