I think its a real-time feedback system because it always takes the same time to bake when I order dominos from restaurants that are further apart, but the delivery time varies.

I looked it up a few years ago. Apparently they just took the average time it took for each step then made the 'tracker' which just is more or less a placebo. Though where I lived it was pretty damn accurate for the most part on delivery times. I looked it up after the one time it said my pizza was in the oven then I got a phone call saying they were out of x ingredient and what to replace it with.
