Your eggs TASTE LIKE NOTHING.
>>
i'm not joking when i say the only way i ever eat eggs is scrambled.
>>
Coconut oil. It gives eggs a whole different flavor.
Personally I separate the whites and the yolk, cook the whites until having a nice crispy edge. Then turn off the heat, and let it rest for about a minute, throw the yolk on top of the whites and let it lightly cook from the residual heat.
>>
>>8878109
Scrambled dry
>>
>fry bacon
>crack egg in bacon grease
>>
>>8878109
>Frying an egg
>Shit ton of peanut oil, almost smoking
>Drop the egg in, salt and pepper
>Tilt the pan
>Baste whites with hot oil, brown the bottom a little
>Transfer to paper towel to remove excess oil
Sometimes I use chili oil and sichuan peppers.

I prefer omelettes, but I have gooey scrambled eggs often too.

Mix a teaspoon of cream with some chives and two eggs

Scramble gently in butter with alternating heat
>>
fry butter
crack egg and wait for the bottom to harden
raise it up let the whites go to the bottom and flip it over

some times I'll baste it if I feel fancy.

Literally what is wrong with this? Is there any reason not to use the already available grease?

frying is for suckers.
steam them in a pan with a small amount of water for 7 minutes. The white will be set, but the yolk will be perfectly runny. It's the most satisfying egg thing you can bite into. One bite into that liquid gold and you're in heaven
>>
Dab of butter in a pan over medium heat. Flip em when the bottom is cooked because over-easy is the best way to eat eggs.
>>
>>8880371
This, but until the yolk has solidified as well.
>>
>>8878294
Yeah it gives them the flavor of coconut. It's disgusting

Literally the entire Anglosphere makes fried eggs
>>
I love scrambled eggs. I cook them the way gordon ramsay makes them in his youtube videos but i use way less butter then him (1/4 of what he uses in the beginning and i finish with some cheese to stop the cooking process).

When i fry them i use olive oil, put in eggs, medium to low heat, never flip, season with salt, pepper and sometimes cumin, add some cheese (dutch cheese) on top
>>
dash of oil
heat up pan to medium temp
crack 2 egg
smack yolk to shit with spatula
flip half way through
flip twice more
serve with salt n pepper
then to my belly
>>
>>8878109
I like to use as small a nonstick as possible.
Heat olive oil. Crack fresh eggs. Cook until crispy edged, can spoon over the oil if I want...I like over easy, so I flip them for a moment at the end.
Serve over toast or with toast. The crustier and better the bread as possible. I'm fond of rye.
>>
>>8882248

I have one of those really small pans. For it, I fashioned a lid (never found a lid commercially available for it).
I spread a tiny drop of olive oil in the bottom of the pan
Then I put two medium eggs in.
I cook on medium heat until the top of the eggs are solid enough for flipping.
Flip the egg and add just a breath of white pepper.
Turn the heat off and let the egg cook through.

It comes out the perfect size for sandwich bread.

Other times, I will saute mushrooms in olive oil and mix them in with the eggs for my sandwich.

I prefer a sandwich, but fried on the side is fine too.

Absolute treachery.

I prefer a butter fried 2 egg cheese omelette when I don't have bacon or sausage grease to fry the egg in.
>>
>>8885484
this
>>
bacon grease, hopefully with little chunks of bacon still in there
>>
>>8880371
i do this, but i like using a pressure cooker. more fun, and the shells seem to come off way easier
>>
>>8878109
>fry 1-2 eggs in butter, break yolks
>throw on a little salt
>toast a bagel
>place egg on bagel
I either do sausage, egg, hot sauce, and sauteed white onion, or cream cheese, spinach, and smoked salmon. This shit is delicious and so much better than just plain eggs.
>>
>>8878109
confit-steam in shallow layer of butter
never flip (because lazy and bad), let the evaporation get locked in beneath a lid and cook the top of the yolk
it's done when the yolk(s) starts to cloud up

frittata style scrambled eggs with liberal amounts of (cheddar) cheese and whatever other odds and ends you have in the frig'
fry hard, you need to heavily brown the eggs/cheese on both sides
don't forget the coating of salt and whatever other seasoning you like, both sides
do flip
>>
>>8878125
Butter for scrambled eggs, oil for sunny side up so it slides right of the pan when its done.
>>
Heres a recipie for perfect fried egg https://youtu.be/D3SPsH21j54
>>
>>8878218
This. I have them hard scrambled though, basically just a tiny omelette.

They're pretty nice boiled as well but I'm too lazy for that.
>>
>>8878109
Scrambled with soy sauce added to the egg mixture. Learned it from my animu.
If I want runny yolks, I just poach an egg with a dash of vinegar in the microwave.
For special occasions I soft boil a few eggs, peel, and marinate in soy sauce and mirin overnight in the fridge. More animu wisdom.
For a change of pace, I bake an egg in a well-oiled ramekin in the toaster oven until opaque.
>>
>>8888717
Fuck off weeb, just kill yourself
>>
>>8878109
>crack two eggs in small bowl, add seasoning as i whisk
>butter pan, add eggs, flip constantly
I hope sunny side up and oil faggots hang themselves, this is the ONLY way you should eat them.
>>
>>8889118
oil is objectively better if you're not a fatty
>>
i like poached eggs and omlettes. the thing i hate though is figuring out whether an omlette is going to be golden, or if it's going to be too runny and undercooked when it comes out, but still have enough heat internally to cook itself fully on the plate.
>>
>>8878109
In general, sunny side up is my go-to, the kind I eat most often.
But, like today, I made an omelette for breakfast. Love me some omelettes.
>>
>>8888717

>>
>>8888717
That sounds sugoi and very oishii. Arigato for sharing.
>>
I only cook eggs over-hard if Im going to use it in a sandwich. I hate getting yolk on my fingers

Aside from that, I prefer over easy
>>
>arguing over oil vs butter
>not using an equal amount of each
Plebs
>>
I prefer them a la mode
>>
>>8878125
>he doesn't smear the pan against the grease build-up on his nose
>>
>>8890629
I suppose these days that would be sous-vide
>>
>>8878109
In general: usually softboiled or scrambled/omelette.

When frying, I either make them overeasy (oil or butter in a nonstick pan, spatula that releases eggs well), or sunny side up with a shot of water and a lid to steam the top of the eggs, rather than use more oil to baste them.
>>
>>8884094
Bacon grease > butter > plant oils.
>>
>>8891504
with ice-cream.
>>
>>8891891
That's only for pie. A la mode just means "in the current fashion," and sous-vide eggs are definitely fashionable.
>>
>>8891903
fashionable with ice cream.
>>
>>8878109
Scrambled, with olive oil.
>>
>>8878109
Moderately crispy whites (absolutely no part of the white should be runny) and a runny yolk that's ever so slightly just starting to set on the bottom. This is the perfect fried egg.

Fried eggs are my least favourite though would much rather have some nice scrambled or poached. Soft boiled with toast is pretty great brekky too
>>
>>8878109
Carton of egg whites
Glass bowl
Microwave, nice and hot
1 minute
Stir
Microwave 40 seconds
Done
>>
Heat abundant olive oil
Drop egg
Use spatula to splash the top of the egg with oil until it's done
>>
>>8878109
put 3 eggs in a pot
cover with water
bring to boil
once it reaches a boil, let it go for 10 minutes
carefully pour out water
put in ice cubes, cover with water
stir

enjoy hardboiled eggs cut in half with salt (and when I was a kid, Lowry's lemon pepper)
>>
>requesting "eggs aren't only meant to be eaten in the morning" quote
>>
>>8890776
>he doesn't keep the entire pan in his foreskin so that it's nice and lubed up with smegma
>>
i prefer scrambled to fried

a fried egg isn't good in and of itself. you need something to soak up the yolk, and you risk snotty egg whites on top. find me some kind of freak that would eat a plain fried egg on a plate

a well made scrambled egg is moist and buttery, no snot, and you can eat it on its own

poached is probably superior but i don't have the equipment to make it easy and you need fresh eggs to keep the whites together
>>
>>8878109
I prefer soft boiling them.

Water, bring to boil, put in eggs, 1 minute, take eggs out, eat.

I like the
warm gooey
texture.
>>
>>8892062
That's a raw egg, not a soft boiled one. Coddled, at best.
