Can I use a wire whisk with my cast iron or will it damage the seasoning?

A whisk will not damage your seasoning.

don't do it man, i did that once and i ruined it. whenever i have to whisk something in it now i wrap the whisk in some kitchen cloth beforehand

Get a silicone coated whisk if you're really that concerned about it.
>>8866026
Try it. You can always re-season.
>>8866026
Yo7 should he fine, but even if it did, just reseason it.

Man, the silicon comes off of these things so fast, and the whims themselves are usually garbage.
>>8866026
Get a cast iron whisk

They're such a pain in the ass to season, though.

Best answer here anon. That's what makes cast iron the best choice for non stick anyway - the fact that regardless of how bad you fuck up your seasoning, you can always just put it back on.
Also I'm curious. What are you whisking in your pot or pan? How big is it?
>>8866026
thats a fucking retarded question.
Dat file name though
>>8866026
it's fine, dillhole. i use cast iron almost every day, just cause it's mainly what i have. you would have to put some elbow grease into it to f it up

Buy a better one then.
Season the whisk, then worst case it'll season the pan
>>8866029
just use a rubber spatula

That's some next level thinking
