he's a videographer and his videos are definitely better produced or are on par with any other youtube cooking series. he knows generally what he can include in a recipe to make it "next level" so he know's good food generally, but in practice I'm sure he's just googling stuff while being able to execute certain processes fairly accurately. If you had a camera, a goal dish, and some time to formulate your gameplan, I'm sure you'd produce a similar product, assuming you have basic cooking skills.
