I want to cook on gas.
How do i install gas cookware in my apartment ? I can't make holes and shit and i'm not connected to gas network.
Move to an actual city, maybe? What good is a gas stove if you can't get good food to cook anyway? I mean suppose you manage to acquire some kind of portable gas tank so you can pretend you're in civilization, what would you even cook with it? Roadkill? Your sister's placenta?
gas is overrated, get induction.
you could use a campingstove

Gas BBQ in your living room.

Nah. Induction can't compete with an actual open flame.

A lot of people in small asian apartments use things like these because their apartments are too small for a proper kitchen. I've used one before and they work pretty well, especially for foods that need fine temp control. Everything else should be ok on whatever your apartment has, but when/if you look for a new place, put a gas stove on your requirements. I cooked on an electric coil for a few years, but my current place has a gas stove. Although it is pretty old as far as stoves go, gas is gas and being able to see what flame you're cooking on makes a big difference in cooking. I also have a portable induction burner, and while it's accurate, the little fan is noisy and it has a high-pitched buzz.

A lot of apartments/condos won't run gas lines because of insurance premiums

>Butane stoves
Those were popular in asian homes and restaurants for steamboats, but many users have been switching to electric induction cookers due to explosion scares.
