We just butchered a Wagyu recently. Fucking massive thing, halfed it with the neighbour and our freezers were still overflowing.
Tasted better than most other beef, but it's not an insane difference.

Its quite good easily some of the best meat. Ive had some more expensive stuff in a high end UK restaurant and regular priced stuff in JP. I think its worth trying once aslong as you know its the legitimate variant.

Sorry to break it to you, but the best beef comes from Angus cattle raised exclusively in Aberdeenshire. Everything else is either a shitty imitation or just shit (Wagyu is a pretentiously presented shitty imitation).

It's good but very fatty. I've handled top-tier Kobe beef that melts at room temperature. You really don't want to eat more than 4 oz. of the stuff at once, it's very rich.

It's good, but the hype about it is a huge meme perpetuated by people who want to imply they have good taste when they have probably never actually tried it.

But I can't emphasise enough that it is actually good. Just not some kind of beef nirvana.
