Dangit guys. I left my cast iron skillet on medium heat to dry but I lost track of time. When I came back less than an hour later the seasoning in the middle started to flake off and now it looks like this.
How do you guys recommend I go about reseasoning it? Do I need to remove all the current seasoning? How do I do that if that's the case?
oil and heat.
slather it in peanut oil and bake at 350 for two hours upside down
Hot pan.
Don't worry about it, just cook with it as usual. It'll be fine.
Cum in it.
if you're lazy as fuck - cook bacon in it
if you want to put in effort use flaxseed oil and bake it. layer the flaxseed every thirty minutes or so.
just keep cooking oily foods in it. you can only achieve cast iron enlightenment if you use it for every meal

Should I remove all the other seasoning or do I not need to worry about that?
Here's some catfish and hushpuppies I fried in it for Mardi Gras.

No, just run your head through a garbage disposal

if you don't remove the old seasoning it'll look weird but still cook fine. you can if you want to.
Boil salt water in it to restore the bluing.
