Order at a fast casual.
>Machine Information system pops up
>Would you like to tip?
>Give 20% tip, like a normal person
>Cashier gives me a stink eye
Was I in the wrong? Should I have tipped more? This was in a pretty trendy place in my city. I feel really bad.
No, 20% tip is already plenty. I do a minimum $2 tip if I eat somewhere cheap where they still actually wait on you (refill drinks and such), but fast casual usually doesn't.

>Was I in the wrong?
Yeah. Shouldn't have tipped.
>not tipping 200% and an hour wife your wife
If you're going to be a cheap asshole stay at home, eating out isn't for you

You never tip at a fast food restaurant.

You should not have tipped if you wanted to help the staff. You're probably the only one that tipped so now the employees have to work at $2 and change hourly since they are getting tipped.

She was pissed cause that tip went to workplace tip fund where it will be divided among her coworkers instead a cash tip which she would have just pocketed herself.
