I generally do not pair music and food, but hearing music from a specific culture does sometimes make me hungry for food from that culture. When I hear music from NOLA I want cajun/creole food. When I hear reggae I want curry goat or jerk pork. Country music makes me want to drink cheap beer. And Latin-Caribbean music makes me want Dominican/Puerto Rican food. Also most of the South Asian and Middle Eastern restaurants I eat at have a soundtrack of music from home playing in the background, so I associate the music with the cuisines.
