Just tried it. Not as bad as the syrup, but only has enough punch if a put an ass load in. What about spices? I have a lot more of those, and I just need something to mask the bitterness, so it wouldn't necessarily have to be sweet.

I usually look for canned fruit and use the syrup, but for tea, however if you need caffeine and unsweetened tea/coffee make you sick as fuck like they do me, try it.

Otherwise you're going to have to stick to 8tbsp of honey per cup until you can buy sugar because there's nothing else in your kitchen that's going to help here besides icing it down and drinking it slow. I go through this a lot actually.
Don't touch brown sugar.

Agave syrup, chocolate sauce (I only need to use a little) or a bit of sweetened condensed milk.
