I, quite honestly, don't like to cook that much. But I refuse to relegate myself to eating frozen TV dinners or takeout every day.
What are some simple foods I can just eat all the time? It doesn't have to be a full blown meal. Right now I end up eating a lot of rice with some egg in it, occasionally I'll throw in frozen vegetables and steam them. I also eat a lot of fried potatoes but my kitchen apparently isn't conducive to long-term storage of them, as they end up sprouting within a week and I'm not eating 5 fucking pounds of potatoes that fast
Are bean sprouts easy to cook and eat? I remember liking those a lot when I was given them as side dishes.
TL;DR food items that don't take much if any effort to prepare and I can mostly subsist off. Does not need to be proper meals.

>5 lbs of potatoes
By less potatoes, wtf
Does your grocer only stock them in 5lbs?
Sandwiches. Just by bread and basic stiff like cheese and lunchmeat or pb+j. Maybe pickles or a sauce. Whatever you want on it.

I've never seen anywhere sell potatoes in smaller quantities than that. 5lb is only $2 here.
Sandwiches are a good idea but I never feel satisfied by them, and it feels like they're really costly for what they end up being.

That's quite strange. My grocer sells them individually in the produce section. Some of them even packaged in tinfoil so you can bake them.
Breakfast foods are quite easy to make and cleanup. And if you really dont want to use a stove, a lot come premade.
Sounds like you need to put more on the sandwich, buy cheaper stuff maybe, and add a simple side like some veggies or chips.
Cereal both hot and cold.
Especially hot cereal like oatmeal or cream of wheat. Pretty good variety with those since you can add like anything.

Freezing raw potatoes causes them to become mealy, but if you cut them up boil them, even just partially, then you can freeze them very little ill effect. Then you can finish cooking them very quickly whenever it's convenient.
keep your potatoes in the fridge, what the fuck are you doing
also, potato/leek soup is hard to fuck up and tastes good.
sausage and spaghetti if you're really lazy.
millionbof if you're cool.

Fry cabbage, garlic, and ginger in a little bit of fat. Season with salt and pepper. It's super easy, cheap and you can make a shit ton at once provided you've got a pan large enough. You can mix it up by adding a bit of soy sauce or balsamic near the end. It's great as a side or snack and pretty healthy as long as you don't go overboard with the fat or salt.

Eh, that's a pretty good deal. My grocery store sells them both pre-bagged and by the pound. Never seen a store not doing that.
Also, making your own bread is easy and cheap, it just requires some waiting. If you can follow instructions without making adjustments (the first time), you can make bread.
I make homemade pizza pretty often because it's so cheap. We're only two people and the recipe I have makes two large pizzas, so I make smaller individual pizzas and keep the dough in the fridge or freezer depending on when I'm going to use it next.
