I don't mind other people, just when the smell of their cuisine permeates my living space. Judging by my condo me other buildings I have been in wishin my lifetime, it always only seems to be the smell of curry that is noticeable.

I used to date an Indian and I loved the smell of her house. Cardamom and ginger and fenugreek and cinnamon and all the rest. I also live in a spic building and I love the smell of their cooking. It literally comes through my floorboards every weekend, garlic and achiote and simmering meat. Lovely.

The concierge installs a brand new kitchen in a student flat? A group of Hindus moves in turns it in matter of weeks into a unusable room of filth. You need to pick up the keys of the indian tenant that's leaving? You better calculate 1 hour extra time because the room is so disgunstingly dirty, that you can't sign the deposit contract (and then you will get mauled by the indian student that wants the deposit money back in cash and not transfered to his bank account, as if Iwere running a round with a fat roll of bills in my pocket)
