Any fämälämäzoids here been to amerikan prisons and eaten the "spread"?
>>
>>8620683
Yep. Military though. It's like a regular dfac but worse. Lots of "yakisoba" (spaghetti with soy sauce) and baked chicken. You'd think ja/ck/ cooked the chicken though. There's vegetarian options, but they're all basically cheese stuffed pasta or bread.
>>
>>8620738

"Dfac" is nearly like me using the finnish abbrev. for a mess hall. MuKe (muonituskeskus)

Do they not feed you? We had a huge breakfast, lunch, dinner. Still was hungry but we had the option of buying pizzas etc.
>>
>>8620738
Please don't remind me about the "yakisoba" that we had in the desert.
>>
>>8620761
It's an abbreviation for dining facility. You get enough to eat technically, but it's not like the prisons you hear about in movies where you can get super jacked. We have one hour a day for outdoor recreation, where there's weight machines (somebody got killed with free weights, so can't do that anymore) and sports (no more softball because somebody got killed after getting beaten with the bat). There's a commissary, but you can only have so much at one time. /fit/ guys usually stock up on peanut butter, and nuts for post workout.
>>
>>8620784
lol it sounds like the US military is going to take the playgrounds away too because Jed fell off the monkey bars and broke his arm.

How can you have disciplined, berserking warriors with this mindset? Does the military get sued often in the US for injuries during training or something?
>>
>>8620784

Are you talking about the american Army or the actual marines who see combat?

And do prisoners get super jacked in real life instead of tv shows

They get fed nothing but carbs
>>
>>8620794
Well you're usually not going to be a berserker army warrior after going to military confinement. It's a weird place. You're not really a soldier anymore, but you're still under the rule of UCMJ while you're there. The guards are aware of the fact that there are high ranking NCOs and former officers that they watch over. A lot of us have done combat deployments too. For the most part, we've accepted the fact we fucked up, and try not to give them a hard time, despite the fact they work in a unique environment, and don't see a lot of what the rest of us do.
>>
>>8620829

I just realized you are talking about military prison instead of service

I am drunk
>>
>>8620829
What'd you do to go to military prison anyway? Seems like it'd have to be something pretty serious, they don't throw just anyone in there, right?
>>
>>8620811
>>>8620784 (You)
>Are you talking about the american Army or the actual marines who see combat?
I'm not sure where you're getting your info from, but plenty of American army soldiers see combat. I got my combat medic badge within 2 weeks of being in country, after we got ambushed. My friends and supervisors have gotten their shit blown off, shot, and peppered with shrapnel. The Marines are in the thick of it, but there are plenty of army infantry platoons who get into the shit too.

I think the prisoners you think of are the ones who are allowed to hang out in the yard all day and just lift. We weren't allowed to do that.
>>
>>8620683
I've been in American jail, and the food is pretty much the same you'd get in a school cafeteria.
>>
>>8620829
Oh I didn't realize you were talking about confinement, I was wondering why you only had an hour of outdoor exercise.

What did you do to get there? What's the avg offense?
>>
>>8620849

Most of my info comes from movies, I was under the impression that the army mostly does service on US soil.
>>
>>8620848
I had a drug offense. I was a military combat medic. I took my job pretty seriously downrange, but after I got back I dunno. I was on opiates for breaking a shoulder and things seemed boring I guess.
>>
>>8620862
The Army is the largest branch of the military

How much domestic stuff could the military possibly do? It's not like we're going to get invaded by Canada any time soon
>>
>>8620880
Don't worry, we wouldn't fight you anyway... we'd obliterate your country within 30 days and as enlightened people know, if you kill your enemy, they win.
>>
>>8620880
The National Guard component helps with weather disasters and riots in worst case scenarios. They go downrange too but the training isn't the same it seems. There's a big difference in being a full time asshole, and somebody who's an asshole for 1 weekend once a month.

Hurricanes and keeping the negro population under control.

Hey man, hope you're doing better now and get/got help.
>>
>>8620683
so who is she and is she really so dangerous she has to be shackled and escorted by two men?
>>
>>8620864
It's crazy how prevalent opiate abuse is.

I know nothing about the military; if you are in the military and get busted by civilian police on US soil, you'd go to a military prison instead of a civilian one?
>>
>>8620928
Thanks man. I gotta tell you, getting locked up in the army and having to take a bad conduct discharge has been the worst, most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to me. I'm still crushed thinking about how I let my country down with my stupid shit. It's ok though. I run a really successful construction outfit now. I was very fortunate to be able to take over the family business. I've been refused jobs where I learned how to do everything on my own, but can't pass an FBI database check.

If Native Americans want their free bux, they have to box Trudeau for 3 rounds.

Not a single injun has been paid since Trudeau got in office. 8,320 challenges, not a single loss.

He saved us $1.4 billion.
>>
>>8620936

Finn here. If you are in service, the police will contact the military and you will end up in military prison (i dont think we have military prisons in this country, but thats the way it works in the US)
>>
>>8620951
I hear there are lots of gang members/white trash/uneducated people in the US military, so presumably there is a high incarceration rate and therefore lots of military prisoners?
>>
>>8620936
>>8620951
Yeah that's the way it works here too. A friend of mine got busted by civilians, and was turned over to CID. He flipped, and had me pick up coke for his buddy twice. I took a plea deal to just say guilty after selling to his buddy (undercover CID agent) and got 2 years. I got 8 years at the court martial. Anon vs.The United States of America fucking sucks. It's my fault though. If I hadn't gotten caught up, there'd be nothing to be guilty about.
>>
>>8620931
women dont get special princess treatment for prison
>>
>>8620955
You'd be surprised. I figured everyone would be there for drug offenses. I had no idea CP was as prevalent as it is.
>>
>>8620960

>>
>>8620972
Yeah well.. not everybody is your friend, despite what you think.

>>

I was an S-2, Battalion Intelligence Officer, and one of my jobs was to review the police blotters and court dockets to see if any of ours had been arrested so they could be transferred to military custody. Since it was an infantry battalion made up of primarily grunt 11B's, there was a rather high number. 11B's generally have the IQ and emotional makeup of low functioning Neanderthals.
>>
>>8620992
That's true. I've met some really sharp 11Bs but they usually ended up going to sniper school, Rangers, or SF. I was at Bragg, so everyone was airborne already.
>>
>>8621007

I'm the S-2, and I was airborne, but that battalion was straight leg. Rangers and Special Forces were a whole different breed. Those 11B's were fucking intelligent and tougher than shit.

It cracks me up when I see these weak asses on the 4chan who think they've got what it takes because they own an AR15 and play paintball on the weekends.
>>

How did you end up in military prison?
>>

Not a military term. Go back to your paintball and gape with open mouth when you try to breakdown your AR15 for cleaning when I can dissasemble and reassemble in 45 seconds. You wannabee.

Airborne S-2 here. Yeah, I guess that's right. We called them simply "legs."

One thing I have to say, being an intelligence officer, that fucking airborne patch got me a helluva lot of respect from my subordinates and bosses. They knew I wasn't just some puss.

I remember my roomate at airborne had graduated from Cornell while I graduated from a flyover U. That arrogant SOB couldn't even do 45 pushups and qualify for airborne training. He had to try again. Christ, us flyovers are saving you weakass coasties every day.
>>
>>8622048
>Christ, us flyovers are saving you weakass coasties every day.
And now you've become your roomate. Well done.
