There is no progress without error, if I fail at dinner for wife & me & ofspring, we can always order pizza or azn food.
But I guess in most cases the food is eatable at least for me.

Accidentally overcooked 2 ribeyes because the timer i used malfunctioned. I still ate them but felt really sad of what could have been.

If I'm just cooking for myself (very rare these days) then I don't mind. It sucks, but I can throw some hot sauce on it or order a pizza.

If I'm cooking for a group then I'm embarrassed and that makes me (internally) annoyed/angry/disappointed.
