it's what we do everytime when we have surplus batter mix. we even came up with a name for it, it's a 'doughlet'.

just fry it together with the other stuff, but make sure it doesnt turn too dry. dont make the doughlets too large, and take them out when they are crispy and brown. it's easier when you use eggs and panko/breadcrumbs in the batter mix. just experiment a bit yourself, it might take one or two runs to find out the best way for your type of batter mix.
