>Is there a downside to pre-shredding your carrots
not that i can think of
>buying shredded carrots?
okay now that's a waste of money because you can just shred the carrots yourself
you'd end up paying a lot more

>waste of money
100% contextual
>>8569548
is it really that hard to just preshred the carrots yourself
like compare grated cheese to nongrated cheese, it's much more expensive
>>8569616
Not really, but it's still entirely contextual. Depends how many other things that are "not really that difficult" you've already said yes to, and your relative time value vs relative money value. Time value tends to increase along with age, responsibility, and income.

more surface area, more spoilage
But, as far as cost goes, nah, whatever you want, when you're dealing iwth a few cents difference from baby carrots to carrot chips to wahtever you want. For some people, like if you were making a carrot raisin salad, the effort isn't worth it.

Yes, you can't stick them up your butt.
I mean you can, but it's no fun.

just be sure and store them in chill water if you want them to remain crispy
Julienne or shred? Because those are two different animals.

How many days do you think you could keep them crisp and serveable using this method?
>>8570324
just check them every few days and switch out the water and they should last for about a week or so
