Dad used to say "Eat you vegetables, they are good for your eyes, anon. Have you ever seen a rabbit with glasses?"
At time time, I thought he was joking, but could there actually be some truth in this?

No. Animals with eyesight problems get picked off by predators early in life. It's called survival of the fittest.

Eating vegetables being good for overall health, including your eyes? Could there possibly be truth in this? If only somebody could perform thousands and thousands of studies to find out if this claim is true.

this stems from a world war 2 campaign to hide the fact that the british invented radar
as for any realistic benefit vegetables give to eyesight, eating healthy in general tends to make your body work better in the long run, but it's not really clear if eyesight is significantly affected or not and it varies from person to person
so the short answer is "a little"

>this stems from a world war 2 campaign to hide the fact that the british invented radar
I'm failing to see a connection here

that's because you're german.
>>8539988
But I'm not. Enlighten me.
>>8539985
basically the germans were like "how the fuck did you see us?" and brits were like "we just have really good eyesight because we eat our vegetables!"
the reality was that they had invented radar, but they didn't want to tell the germans that
