those carbon steel pans are like fibrox or laphroaig
at one point they were remarkably cheap for what you got, and therefore a nice secret underground find for a person on an extreme budget
now, they're about 5x more expensive than they're worth, and anyone caught recommending them is just outing himself as an ignoramus whose knowledge of cooking comes entirely from cooking-themed content farm bots

I bought one of those pans several years ago, its a very good pan but needs to be treated like cast iron imo, still not as versatile as a stainless pan.
