Can a wok go in the oven?
If so, what kind of metal am I gonna need? I know for certain not to use non-stick.
What about the handle? Can it withstand oven temperatures?
Pic related is the one I'm thinking of getting : http://www.wilko.com/woks/long-handled-wok-black-35cm/invt/0318402

Yes, you're in luck. That one in particular can withstand temperatures up to 250 degrees Celsius. So you're good to go.

what's the point? woks are for quick flame heating, not sustained convection

For curry/biriani making purposes as well as conventional frying

You make curry in the oven? What kind of monster are you?

The kind of monster that likes to make life glorious
Why not get a kadai then?

you're gonna fuck up the handles
>>8478930
Because it's just a saute pan with retarded handles.

Fucking this. I got a wok that had the kadai style handles and I can confirm these handles are retarded.

>I bought it this morning

as in, the handles material is not meant to go in the oven
