How do I eat/serve sardines/canned fish?
My brother bought them and has no idea what to do with them?

What?
I use a fork
What does it taste like? It doesn't look good. Are there really little fish inside?
This one works really well if you wanna serve it as an antipasti (simply used canned sardines instead of fresh):

On bread with mayo, capers, lemon juice - yes please!
Any tomato based pasta dish. Think puttanesca...

I have the feeling this might be the last thing I'll see before I die.

It tastes like fish and it's relatively mild. Nothing compared to anchovies. I definitely prefer it over canned tuna. Also way better in terms of sustainability and nutrition. It's not as "dangerous" as many picky people make it out to be.
Mostly it's fillets (head and fins removed) like this: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TBhTBUTPLFs/Vq3DnoJK7ZI/AAAAAAAAGcY/IkJhYW7oZMo/s1600/FullSizeRender%2B%25281%2529.jpg

Oh thank god I didn't want to have to bite into a fishes head or something like that also are you supposed to eat them on their own or with something?
on a salty cracker?

I like to saute some onion and garlic then throw in the sardines for a quick snack. Eat it with whatever you want. You can also eat it from the can as is, or make a dip with it and eat it with crackers.

the head is the tastiest part of the fish

I have them plain on a Ritz cracker. Or on pizza. Or on top a tuna casserole. Sardines are good
They typically come with a tab on the top/bottom of the tin.
Pull it.
my friend just eats them raw on toast
he is however asian

>raw
Everything that comes in a can is cooked in the can.
