Since I'm working New Year's Eve, I decided to treat myself to an early New Year's feast, a 4 lb. Prime Rib roast. Get one while they're still on sale.

It looks delicious. Did you make some Au Jus and horse radish sauce?

No Au Jus, but I made a horseradish sour cream sauce.
Looking good, I just cooked one myself for Christmas Eve. I made some au jus with mine, made for some good french dip sandwiches with the leftovers later.
I made one for Christmas. Still eating leftovers.
Made au jus, horse radish sauce, roasted brussel's sprouts with pancetta and balsamic, and Lyonnaise potatoes.
Unfortunately the roast came out closer to medium-rare rather than rare, but the other couple of people were happy about that.
made a bottom round roast for xmas. Didn't notice until I carved it, but the butcher fucked up and there was like a third of it that was just fat he didn't trim. Was kinda pissed.

For Christmas I had my fire Prime Rib roast. You know it tasted like?
Beef.
But guess what, if I wanted "Beef" I would get it from the buffet Mongolian place where I live at. Instead of paying 18.99 a pound while on sale I could have had a buffet for half the price. I will admit, it would be more chewy. But I would not have to prep it, cook it, nor clean it. All while having other options as well Still be cheaper.
Prime Rib is a meme like caviar. Social standard more then the taste itself.

poor cow never knew what hit her and now you
have nerves to show part of her dead body for everyone to look at it
you have no shame

Where the fuck do you live that a rib roast costs $18.99 a lb ON SALE?
I paid $7.99 for a total of $32.00, and it was worth every fucking penny.

It was a premium grade probably. Prime rib roast is available for as little as $4 a pound, but its the crap grade. That said, I buy crap grade meat because fuck paying $20/pound.

>Still eating leftovers
I did too, and found out it is nearly impossible to reheat prime rib without cooking it a little further. I did very slow in 250 F oven with some broth, and it still turned a little brown/gray by the time it was warmed. Didn't really matter, was still amazing.

>nearly impossible to reheat prime rib
I just sliced it thin and put it between bread with some horseradish/mustard. Didn't even try reheating it.

and you can use hot knife to warm it up while slicing
