What food will you eat/cook on New Year's eve, /ck/? Anything good?
What will you drink? Any special "cocktails"?
Apples and rice.
Since I was a little kid and probably before I was born, for New Years my Mom always made some pumpernickel break, sliced it up, put corned beef on top then swiss cheese and sauerkraut and baked it until warm and melted. We always made like 10 slices and every one had some. I still do it today because it's so simple and tastes good. For breakfast New Years day, potato pancakes with apple compote.

You either made 10 or you didn't.
Which is it, anon?

Whatever she decided to make. Sometimes 8 or 9. Sometimes 10 or 11. Around 10. Does that work?

Yeah, that's good.
It might be an idea ro keep a diary though, you could note down quantities there.

I was too young to care back then. Now I just buy a load of pumpernickel and however many slices it has, I make. If there's any left over the dog gets them. The kraut gives him pretty vile farts.
