yup... As far as mayonnaise based salads go, chicken > egg > macaroni > potato. Potato is shit-tier, since its just empty carbs. So is macaroni, but atleast theres texture in it. Potato is just eating a block of flavorless calories.

Being from Eastern Europe, i am truly weirded out to see just potatoes and mayo considered a "potato salad".

Round here a usual potato salad would consist of boiled potatoes, peas, sausage (or bologna for my american friends),apple, sweet pickles, boiled carrots, parsley, sourcream and mayo. Everything chopped into small square pieces.

Do people really think potatoes are empty carbs? Atkins has done irreversible damage to our collective consciousness. Potatoes are full of nutrients and compared to a lot of other things have a moderate amount of calories.

To think that in a dish with mayo and potatoes people would shun the potato explains why we're growing fatter by the day.
