I'm keeping low carb, and I've found several dessert recipes that suggest using Swerve ass sugar substitute.
Has anybody used it? I've used liquid and powdered stevia up to this point, and it usually leaves a long lasting, not-awful-not-great taste in my piehole.
Is swerve a superior sweetener? More importantly, will it make me uncontrollably shit my pants if I eat too much? I'd prefer to avoid that.
Off topic. This board is about Food and Cooking.
Avoid sweeteners all together. They're just no good.
I'm low carb as well and avoid all soda and shit, but I've never had a sweet tooth so I'm at an advantage.
If it's soda your wrestling with try flavored seltzer.

Honestly, I really am fine with low carb. Delicious and savory > sweet every day of the week. It's this particular time of the year. I made a few "ok" pies with stevia, but candied pecans was the thing, pic related. Candying with stevia and spices tastes great at first, but the aftertaste stuck around for the rest of the day. This is really not a huge deal, I'm just wondering of anyone here has tried it. I don't trust Amazon's reviews, which is the easiest place to cop it

Also, I've been on flavored seltzer for the better part of a decade. I have a whole cohort of converts as well. Pic is absolutely god-tier. It wouldn't shock me if they admitted it was fill-on soda all these years

Original responder here - someone I work with loves this flavor, but I can't find it anywhere. Gonna have to try it though

Well, I'd guess you're on the west coast. Polar is based in Massachusetts, and rarely found outside of New England/NY. Best I can do is Polar 100% Natural Seltzer Water, Orange Vanilla, 33.8 Fl Oz. (Pack of 2) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011H73YPW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_4OnsybJYK45E1
erythritol is overall the best sugar substitute, so if you need one that's the one I'd go for yeah.
