Calling it lemon-lime soda is fine. It's soda water with lemon-lime flavor.
It would be wrong to label it sparkling lemonade, sparkling limeade, or sparkling lemon-limeade which actually have substantial lemon/lime juice content. Buy those if you feel better about it.

When I'm hungover I usually have a lemon in the fridge, some sparkling water and sugar and once you mix the right amounts it tastes almost exactly like sprite, once I disn't have any lemonm and tried it with citric acid and the result wasn't even close.
I'd say there's a little more under the hood but in general you can make a large pitcher with just one large lemon and maybe half a lime.
Not even trying to be racist, but the main demographic they market to are urban minorities who grew up drinking shit called "purple drink" and "orange drink". "Lemon lime soda" is literally like champagne to people like that.
