Got me this fun little toy.
Great tool fresh out of the box, will have to wait to see how long it holds an edge and how sharp i can get it with mywhetstones.
Cutting with this much weight behind a blade is an absolute blast.

The victorinox is a line cook's knife. A cheap but solid tool for professional cooks.

It's popular because it was recommended in a well-known article a few years ago as being exceptional value for money....which it WAS.

Now the price has doubled thanks to popularity so it's not such a good deal anymore. The other foodservice brands like Dexter-Russel, Bakers and Chefs, Tramontina, etc, are the exact same thing but their prices haven't increased the way Victorinox has.

Is it an amazing knife? No. But it is good value for money, just not as good as it once was.
