>make a pasta dish
>end up cooking too much pasta
Every single time. Anyway, what can I do with leftover pasta sitting in the fridge?

i don't know exactly what to do with leftover pasta, but a good tip to get the amount right is to put the dry pasta into a bowl so you can see the amount, then put it in the water

an other pasta dish?
pasta salad
pasta gratin
etc

Pasta salad.

Problem with leftover pasta is that it gets all soggy and gummy.
I think >>8340131 has a good suggestion. If you make a simple pasta salad with a vinaigrette dressing and some veggies (and a little grated cheese) it will only improve when left in the fridge overnight and the dressing/sauce allowed to soak in.

Alright so I decided to use my pasta shells in a salad consisting of kale, apple and feta cheese with garlic, lemon juice, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Turned out pretty good, would definitely make again.

How about measuring your pasta?
Measure out one cup. Too much, less. Not enough, more.
Leftovers can be turned into a bunch of crap; noodle casserole, mac n cheese, chili mac, soup... literally any pasta dish in existence.
Just make pasta with it?
The restaurant I used to work at precooked all pasta before hand

Thanks for that
cook with egg and some seasoning

sautee some veggies and do a pasta salad
I like using onions, bell peppers and eggplant, but you can just throw anything into the pan and go crazy

I just put it in a ziplock and freeze it. It's not bad defrosted

Frittata di pasta
Just eat more pasta. I have about 125g dry pasta when I eat it, usually reaches 1000 calories. Pasta is delicious.

this, OP's problem isn't that he made too much pasta, it's that he didn't make enough sauce/meat to mix in with leftover pasta to be able to eat it throughout the week.
