I just made some eggnog and I'm putting it in glass jars to sit in my fridge for a couple weeks. The jars I have are screw on Ball type. Should I boil the jars like it says on the package or would just screwing the lid on be fine?
What's the recipe you followed? I'm wanting to make some for myself and not sure what to go with. Eggnog virgin too so I've never tried it

No, ignore the instructions and ask the members of an Inuit igloo building forum for advice.

Boiling the jars is usually done for solid food that can spoil you fucking prick

Look, miss priss, if you made traditional eggnog, you used raw eggs, right? What part of raw egg coming in contact with unsanitized surfaces possibly becoming contaminated by harmful bacteria do you not understand? Do you think there aren't any pathogens there because the glass is clear and shiny?
Fuck it. Better yet, scoop up a handful of sand from your sandbox and scrub out the jar before you add whatever monstrosity you created. Leave out on counter for 2 weeks, drink xmas eve, and die the following morning.
