Hi /ck/.
I got me this bottle today.
I've been told it's pretty good.
Any thoughts about food pairings?
Unless you're a connoisseur then it's just personal preference. Generally lighter wines are paired with fish but if you like meat, have a steak.

lmao it's not a wine

Foie Gras is considered the classic pairing.
>>8317437
Idiot.
>>8317432
Be warned, it's very sweet!
>>8317437
Friend, you read the label?

Fat too sweet to go with fish.
Thats a sweet wine, expensive because they let the grapes turn into semi raisins for the extra sweetness. Very good as a special dessert, to really experience the wine, try it straight, then fill a wine flute with berries and fill with the wine.

Foie Gras is a the most traditional pairing with a Sauternes. Yquem is quite sweet so matching with a citrus or slightly tart dish would also work.

How much does such a thing cost?
>>8317595
About $100+ for a half liter bottle and waaay up for the best old vintages. Look for Sauternes wines if you want a cheaper but still nice alternative.

eat it with foie gras toast and cherry marmalade

Not him, but no I didn't. It's too blurry.
