Not sure if this is just a Canadian thing, but has anyone tried either the burger or fries? I'm going to try it this weekend and I'm ashamed to say I'm pretty pumped about it... never thought I'd see waffle cut fries at McDonald's. Burger looks pretty interesting too.
Sorry eh

It literally a staple for Carl's Jr
meh. Potato on a burger is fucking stupid.
Those fries are the same fries you will get at some pubs. Probably comes from the same factory. They're good though.
OP here, just had it. Fries were a really nice change from the normal ones; basically tasted like McDonald's fries in waffle form. They must be really popular, because I got the last order of them (they ran out).
Burger was good but pretty heavy, needed something sharp and sour tasting like mustard, pickles, or something like that. The potato was an okay addition, didn't really do it for me.
Definitely going to get these fries while they last.
Nice work OP
the fries are awesome, they have much more fried coverage and have a great texture, the burger is also really good, it may just be the sauce and bacon but the hash brown (pretty much what it is) adds a really nice heft to it, which makes it a good meal, the combo makes mcdonalds something that actually satisfies me.

Strange, Hardee's only has straight cut or curly.
I think OP was referring to them specifically at McDonalds though. Lots of places have waffle fries.
My mom mentioned she saw a commercial for this the other day. Might actually have to try that; it looks tasty (I rarely get burgers from McDonald's though since I vastly prefer Wendy's and A&W).
