BBQ places are called "Churrascarias", they serve very good meat.
Stay away from food trucks and "gourmet" places. They sell stuff like an omelet for 30 dollars. It's a tourist trap.

Honestly, there's a ton of good food to be had in other states than Rio (the state, not the city), but since you'll only go there, you'll have to do with Churrasco (barbecue) and Feijoada (black beans with pork cuts).
