This may be a stupid question but are there any foods besides pickled foods that you can store at room temperature and eat without any preparation?

every produce ever. they don't grow in refrigerators
>>
Candies, jerky, many canned or jarred foods, nuts. Man that really was a stupid fucking question.
>>

Do you mean I should grow vegetables or are you saying that carrots and stuff don't go bad at room temperature?
>>
Jerky, dried fruit, sauerkraut, baked goods, PB&J.
>>
I think OP is looking to make an entire meal out of foods without any sort of preparation or special storage means.

Most foods listed so far have been snacks.

This guy is right, I want to minimize my use refrigerator use because I have to share my fridge with lots of people.
>>

Dude, just buy things that you can eat in single portions with no leftovers. Canned beans, rice, tuna, sliced white bread
>>
>>8268877
Agree with this anon. Canned and jarred foods and some produce.

Maximize your savings by going with dried foods as much as possible.

A bag of dry beans will be considerably cheaper than canned beans.

I assume OP's problem is with the refrigerator, and everything else in the kitchen (stove, cookware, etc.) is still free game.

Irradiated food.
