I think OP is looking to make an entire meal out of foods without any sort of preparation or special storage means.

A bag of dry beans will be considerably cheaper than canned beans.

I assume OP's problem is with the refrigerator, and everything else in the kitchen (stove, cookware, etc.) is still free game.
