Sup /ck/, I'm interested in baking but I have almost no fucking experience with it.
Main reason I want to bake is just so I can have my house warm up for a while making food.
I was thinking of doing simple shit like cookies, but I'm not sure if I should go straight to making them from scratch, or get pre-made dough and add on to it.
And if I do it from scratch, does anyone have good recipes that are easy?
Worried that what I find online won't be satisfactory.

Cookies are really easy to make, brownies too. Here are a few recipes I like.

Premade would be an alright way to start if you've never used an oven before. Shortbread and butter cookies are good for your first recipe. Good recipes for brownies and chocolate chip cookies can be hard to find though.

What's odd about coconut in cookies?

Coconut is fine, I just never thought it would taste good with oatmeal until now.

Does oatmeal taste like anything really?

I usually eat it with things added in, so probably not.

Yeah the chocolate chip oat coconut one is really good, one of my favorite cookies.
