How do i git gud at using a Knife? I started a new job recently and they looked at me pretty funny when i started cutting some tomatoes saying things like im going to cut my hand off. any recommended guides for this?

ALWAYS, have a good grip on your knife and hold it in your dominant hand.
Also, slice don't chop. Put your knife firmly in a 90° angle on what you want to cut, then push it forward.
